About fordi
MostMostagenciesagenciesstartstartwithwiththethework.work.WeWestartstartwithwiththethereason.reason.
In Danish, fordi means because. In Old English, a ford was a shallow crossing — the safe place to move from one side of a river to the other. We named the agency after both. Because change needs a reason, and it needs a safe way across.
Fordi exists to help UK small businesses adopt AI. Not as a science project — as working systems inside the business you already run. The admin that eats your evenings. The enquiries that sit unanswered until Monday. The reporting that takes a day every month. That is where the hours go, and won-back hours become capacity, customers, and growth.
Most of the market is not moving yet. 44% of UK B2B businesses plan no digital investment this year; 42% have no ecommerce tech stack at all (YouGov survey of 500 UK B2B decision-makers, July 2025). We read that as the biggest opening small firms have had in a decade. Because the systems that used to need an enterprise budget now fit a small one.
We start with the reason. Before any tool, any build, any line of code, you get a plain-English plan: which tasks AI should take off your team, what that is worth each week, and what to build first. Then we build it, run it, and stay accountable to the numbers.
How fordi works
01
We run an AI-powered audit of your site, your marketing, and the manual work eating your team's hours. Free. Sixty seconds.
Because guesswork is expensive.
02
We tell you the single highest-leverage thing to fix. Named. Quantified. Prioritised. Plain English.
Because clarity beats activity.

We build it. A five-day project, a ten-day build, or a monthly engagement. Whatever fits the reason.
Because results need someone to actually do the work.
Built by
For over two decades I worked in public sector health and government — from the clinical front line to senior leadership, managing budgets north of £80 million. I built a first-of-its-kind national service from a blank page, coordinating care across an entire country and reporting directly to government.
It delivered over 20,000 appointments, 98% satisfaction, and more than £9 million in cost avoidance. Two decades of that taught me one thing better than any other: how to make a large, complicated system actually work — and what it costs ordinary people when it doesn't.
Then I taught myself to build — not to brief a developer, but to write the code. I design and ship AI systems end to end: the data model, the backend, the pipelines, the interface. This site and the audit behind it are mine, top to bottom, built with Claude.
And here's the angle. Most AI products are a clever prompt with a price tag — demos that real businesses can't actually use. I build the opposite: AI that works quietly in the background, so you get the power of it without having to buy into the hype.
The most capable AI systems are being built inside the world's largest businesses, with budgets to match. UK small businesses need the same kind of capability — at a price and a pace that fit the way they actually run. Nobody was building for them.
So I built fordi.
Small businesses have the same problems the Fortune 500 has: drowning in admin, can't hire, paying agencies for work they can't measure while AI quietly eats the manual labour their team is still doing by hand. The problems are identical. The price points aren't. And the exposure is real: the most AI-exposed workers earn 47% more than the least exposed (Anthropic labour-market research, US data, March 2026) — it is the expensive work AI eats first.
Every fordi engagement starts with the reason. If we can't find one — a measurable, named, justified reason your business will grow this year — I won't take you on.
